Colorful Moon Festival Celebration

The Moon Festival Celebration was a great opportunity for our community to come together on Saturday, Oct. 3. Over 500 people attended the event. The success of this event was only possible with the hard work of many volunteers.

Hong Lin won the big trophy for the Best Moon Cake 2009.

09/15/2009 KYCAA 2009 Moon Festival Picnic

The 2009 Moon Festival Celebration and Picnic will be held at Shillito Park, Saturday 4 pm - 8 pm, October 3, 2009. Activities include talent show, taste and sale of moon cakes, contest for home made moon cakes, and lot more! It's a great time for you and your family to relax, meet old and new friends, watch kids play in the field, and enjoy mooncakes!

Xiang-E School in Sichuan, China

City of Xiang E, Sichuan is recovering from the devastating earthquake. KYCAA has been one of the sponsors for Xiang-E Elementary School Rebuild Project. KYCAA joind Sichuan Earthquake Relief Fund and contributed $12,000 to the fund. The fund has raised a total of $100,000. It was a memorable moment when our members worked hard to raise funds and collected items in urgent needs.

KYCAA Summer Picnic

The KYCAA Summer Picnic will be on Saturday, Aug, 8 in the Fort Boones borough State Park, from 10:00am to 3:00pm. It is on the bank of the Kentucky River and has access to a "beach" area, where people can fish and kids can play in the sand. The association will provide free lunch, snacks and drinking water. You are encouraged to bring a special dish to share with fellow members. Contact Jie Chen for more information.

Out of China: Works by Zhu Legeng

The Ann Tower Gallery is honored to present the first US exhibition of one of China's most renowned ceramics artists, "Out of China: Works by Zhu Legeng". Friday, February 20, 2009 from 5 to 8 pm, and Mr. Zhu will be present. The exhibition will be on display through April 5, 2009.
